Overview

Protocol are working with a local association to recruit for their new Finance Manager. This is a great opportunity for a AAT qualified candidate.

Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive the key responsibilities for the role is managing the accounting, banking, investment, all funds and subsidiary supporting ledgers and documents. Advise the senior team and other Heads of Departments on all relevant financial matters, and to draw their attention to any aspect relevant to the procurement and/or use of funds.

Other duties include:
*Complete the annual business cycle
*Assist the Chief Executive in the implementation of the annual financial plan
*Production and closure of annual financial statements
*Managing all funds via the relevant funding streams
*Using Symphony, produce financial reports for all funding sources
*Prepare a statement of accounts and attend each meeting of the association board
*Provide a detailed financial analysis on monthly basis to the Resource Managers

About you
*Membership of the Association of Accounting Technicians
*Computerised accounting experience
*Management and organisational experience
*Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
*Strong IT skills
*Ability to travel to other locations

Ideally you will have Qualified Accountancy Certification, experience of HR / employment law and have managed budgets.
